BASLP stands for Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is an undergraduate course of 4 years. The BASLP course trains students to become audiologists and speech-language pathologists. They learn methods to treat, identify, and prevent hearing disorders in people. The students are also taught about hearing aids and technology.
The BASLP course consists of both theory and practical teachings with Audiology, and Speech-language pathology as primary subjects. In the final year, the students undergo internship and training for the rehabilitation of people who are suffering from speaking.
The eligibility criteria for BASLP is that the student should have completed 10+2 with a minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students who belong to SC/ST/OBC require a minimum of 45% in the 12th standard. BASLP Admission takes place mainly through various entrance exams such as NEET UG, IPU CET or All India Entrance Exam of AYJNISHD(D).
